On the 15th of August 2021,there was another fire outbreak at the building which is right oppostite to the recent one that was burnt at makola market in Accra.
Due to this Xgent took this opportunity to Visit the place and to speak to some Workers and shop owners at Makola to know about how the fore started and germinated to other shops and to know the reactions of the shop owners who unfortunately their shops burnt down to ashes.
In an interview, an old woman said that she did not see the fire start but the taxi ahe took ,the driver in drew her attention to the fire out der which made her tensed and scared a bit. And she said within some few hours the Soldiers came in their patrol cars at the scene together with the police officers. One lady said thet Government always promised of helping them but they have never seen any reaction towards them from the president ,also she said that their shops aren't part but they speak on behalf of their co workers who had their shops burnt. They say that Government should this time aroumd fulfill His proimse of giving them something small to restart the work because it not been long the first shop burnt down and now it is this one.They claim government to help them find the main source of the fire outbreaks which is leading to loss of many jobs. Others also said The Fire service that is closer fo the Makola market has not been helping them at all and they claim its "Almost useless".They say that Government should close it down because of the inconvenience they always make of not having water and other staffs .It always has to be fire services from somewhere else."the
